All data is written simultaneously to two hard drives, so if in the event of a hard drive failure, all of the data would still be safe, and the server would continue to function as per normal  Additional hot swappable hard drives are also supplied, which can be swapped with one of the hard drives at the end of each day, this can then be put in a safe or preferably taken off site by staff, providing off site security for all of the data on the server.
